We have compiled an ever-evolving multilingual biomedical-technical dictionary/thesaurus
This project has taken us nearly nine years so far, and it is still growing and evolving.
As of July 1, 2009, each bilingual or trilingual subset of this dictionary/thesaurus lists over 37,470 words and phrases in English, and includes over 36,150 detailed entries each in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and German.
In Swedish, over 35,655 entries. In Finnish, 15,960 entries, and in Italian, at least 17,975 entries.
Compiled by André Fairchild with a little help from a loose-knit network of translator/contributors and medical professionals, this medical dictionary/thesaurus is unlike anything you've ever seen before.
André is an interpreter/translator/terminologist, fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English; somewhat less fluent in German. See thanks and acknowledgments of contributors and collaborators at http://www.interfold.com/translator/compiling.htm, along with details on sources, methodology, style, bibliography, pricing, software formats, quality, exclusions and text formatting of the large Multilingual Medical Technical Dictionary/Thesaurus.
