Take Me Home!

fyi..

I'm 30-something years old, living in Denver with my two teenagers, Katie and Daniel, a full grown Rat named Louie, a gerbil and a nutty cat.  My 20- year old daughter, Amanda, lives with my dad.   I have a good job that I love, and lots of friends.  Life is basically good.

I love movie quotes...

Sharp pointy things - (click on the pic for a bigger pic)

I started collecting knives a few years ago, while working for Spyderco,  a knife manufacturer in Golden.  I only worked there 6 months, but I was hooked by then.  Now I have a decent collection and still follow things in the knifeworld.  I have a lot of friends online that are serious collectors, and I went to Atlanta in May to meet them.  Fun!

These are some of my favorites: (Thumbnails, click for bigger pic)

This is the third Spyderco Bladeforums Native I've owned.  I was given the 3rd knife off the line when they were manufactured, by the Chief engineer for Spyderco.  Stolen from my apartment (kids, I think) sometime in 2000.  I was given another BF Native as a gift, from my buddy RLee.  That one was stolen from my jewelry box in September 01 when our apartment was broken into.  I bought this one pictured here soon after, from my friend Jim.  I carry it *all* the time.

Rare Spyderco Rescue in yellow.  Even has the original clip.  This baby is still spydie sharp.

Miscellaneous stuff, mostly junk.

I won this 440c Custom.  Love it.

Spyderco Stainless Steel Delica.  Given to me by a friend to cheer me up.  It did.  I love this knife.

This is a Stileto I picked up at a gun show a while back.  I didn't have enough money for it..but I really wanted it, so Mark loaned it to me till I could get to the bank.  A little stiff, but fun.
UPDATE - Stolen by one of my sons friends (riiight) in May 02.  *sniff.

Boker.  Cool knife, doesn't hold an edge for shit tho.

A knife from Pakistan.  I think Daniel got this at a garage sale.

Spyderco ladybug

Spyderco Q - flag style.  I wish I would have picked up more of these.

Schatze. The O'Shea cat.  Then and Now.

I think he is a product of his environment.

He hates it when I kiss him on the mouth.  All he does all day every day is sit and stare at the rat cages.  Daniel has a big big rat named Louie, and a gerbil named Tanya.

He actually might as well be Mark's cat.  He doesn't care for any of us much.

He used to eat nothing but people food.  Onions, chips, cookie dough, candy.  Now he won't touch the stuff.  I've been afraid to let him go outside, cause we're not supposed to have cats here and I was afraid someone would see him.  But Mark lets him out on to the balcony and he just sits there, and he loves it.
